Cole South

I’m a former professional poker player, entrepreneur, and angel investor.
If someone tells you that they are any of these three things, you should be skeptical. Here’s why they apply to me…

Former Poker Pro

Starting with just a $50 bankroll in 2005, I cleared millions of dollars in profit in the highest stakes games online and in cardrooms in Vegas, Monaco, and Macau.

I’ve played on NBC’s Poker After Dark, made two deep runs in the World Series of Poker main event, and was a sponsored pro for the second largest online poker room.

After spending 10+ years playing poker as my sole source of income, I retired from the poker circuit in 2016.

Entrepreneur

During the online poker boom, I was a lead instructor and co-owner of the largest poker training site. I helped build this online subscription business into a thriving community with over 10,000 paying members.

In early 2016, I co-founded SDDC Goods: an e-commerce business focused on creating amazing brands, products, and customer experiences.

We’ve launched 3 e-commerce brands that have become category leaders both online and in brick and mortar retail. I currently work full time on this quickly growing business.

Angel Investor

I really enjoy investing in early stage companies looking to solve big problems.

While I’m not interested in investing in the newest high frequency trading bot (no judgment, it’s just not for me), if you’re working on a business that has the potential to do good while doing well, let’s talk.

I’ve done roughly 50 deals, some of my portfolio companies I’m most excited about are Lambda School, Blokable, and Tpaga.
